MOTION NO. 301
MOTION: Councillor G. O'Connell
Given the proximity of the Lucan Golf Club lands to the river Liffey and it’s current green undeveloped status; and the fact it forms and is seen as part of the green belt between the residential communities of Lucan and Celbridge; together with the enormous extent of land already zoned in the county and the decrease in demand for development – this proposal warrants no further consideration. In summary given the above and also but not limited to the criterion of ‘Policy Context’, ‘Environmental & Heritage’, ‘Environment’ and ‘Assessment of Need’, it should be rejected and not carried into the Draft Plan for further consideration.
REPORT:
The Draft County Development Plan maintians the current zoning of Green Belt in the area referred to in the motion.
Recommendation:-
That no change be made to the Draft County Development Plan
