MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To add a Specific Local Objective to provide for additional car-parking and traffic management measures to improve traffic flow in the vicinity of Scoil Mhuire, Airlie Heights.

REPORT:

Given the road layout in this particular area, it is considered reasonable to include an SLO stating ' To investigate traffic managment measures to improve traffic flow in the vicinity of Scoil Mhurie, Airlie Heights.' With respect to additional; car-parking, it is considered that in the interests of sustainablity and the promotion of other forms of accessing schools, such as cycling, walking or bus, that additional car-parking be provided.

Recommendation

Adopt revised SLO to state 'To investigate traffic managment measures to improve traffic flow in the vicinity of Scoil Mhurie, Airlie Heights.'
