MOTION NO. 164

MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

Add an additional bullet point to Section 3.2.5, as follows:

• Facilitate and support the retention of existing jobs and the creation of new jobs in the County by assigning to the County Development Board responsibility to function as an Employment Task Force, as provided for in Government Guidelines issued to CEBs.

REPORT:

Policies contained within Section 2 'Enterprise and Employment' support the retention of existing jobs and the creations of new jobs within the County.  The assigning of responsibility to the County Development Board to function as an Employment Task Force is not a Development Plan matter.

MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that this Motion not be adopted.
