MOTION NO. 150

MOTION: Councillor S. Crowe

That in view of large amount of illegal landfill sites being discovered ongoing throughout the County that Plan will encourage during its lifetime a strategy that will lead to  the identification and legal pursuance of all the individuals involved.

REPORT:

Part VIII of the Planning and Development Act sets out the procedures for delaing with unauthorised development. Enforcement is a discretionary executive function. The motion in this regard is not appropiate to the Draft Development Plan.

 MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION:

That the motion not be adopted.
