MOTION NO. 256

MOTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

It shall be a Specific Local Objective of the new County Development Plan that Palmerstown Village be the subject of a Local Area Plan that takes full account of the historical and heritage significance of this Village and that Palmerstown Village be given its rightful status through suitable inclusion in section 3.3. of the Manager's Draft Plan.

REPORT:

As currently drafted SLO 9 states ‘ to prepare a local planning study for the Palmerstown area.’ Having considered this motion it is recommended that in order to allow for the consideration of the spatial planning issues facing Palmerstown in an efficient manner that the SLO be amended to state’ To prepare an approved plan for the Palmerstown area.’

Manager’s Recommendation:

That SLO 9 is amended to state ‘To prepare an approved plan for the Palmerstown area.’
