MOTION: Councillor S. Crowe

That the Plan encourages, supports and agrees to facilitate the long term viability and sustainability of the swimming pool in East Tallaght.

REPORT:

The Draft Development Plan provides, through Policy SC47: Swimming Pools, for the provision of swimming pools in appropriate, accessible locations to meet identified community needs in the County. It is considered that the provision of swimming pools in specific areas of the County is not appropriate to the County Development Plan.

Manager’s Recommendation:

It is recommended that this Motion not be adopted.
