MOTION NO. 97

MOTION: Councillor S. Crowe

That the plan will promote and facilitate the proper upkeep  of cemeteries under the control of South Dublin County Council and ensure the adequate provision of burial spaces and other preferred alternatives in the County area.  

REPORT:

The Draft Development Plan, through Policy ES12: Cemeteries addresses the development and improvement of the appearance of cemeteries in the County. The adequate provision of burial spaces is not a Development Plan matter. 

Manager’s Recommendation:

It is recommended that this Motion not be adopted.
