MOTION NO. 112

MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

In Section 2.2.11 Policy add a new Policy, after 2.2.11iv as follows:

"2.2.11.v

It is the policy of the Council to implement, during the term of the Plan, a Pilot School Bus Service in the County, based on the model already developed by the Transportation SPC."

REPORT:

Implementation of a Pilot School Bus Service as proposed is dependent on government approval and funding. If the members wish to insert a policy as proposed in the County Development Plan it is recommended that the proposed motion be amended as follows.

 MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION:

Amend section 2.2.11 to insert a new policy as follows:

2.2.11.v  Pilot School Bus Service

It is the policy of the Council during the term of the Plan to promote and support the implementation of  a Pilot School Bus Service in the County based on the model already developed by the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee of the Council.”
