MOTION NO. 214

MOTION: Councillor G. O'Connell

To facilitate clarity on the status of the lands in the Liffey Valley, the Manager is to provide to the Councillors details of the different zoning types and identification of the associated parcels of lands for each zoning type involved to cover the following area:

All the lands included in length within the Council’s jurisdiction stretching from Palmerston to the county boundary, and in width from the County’s northern boundary with the River southwards to the N4, until it intersects with the Celbridge Road, and thereafter using the Celbridge Road as the southern boundary for the study, and to include all the lands of Lucan Golf Course, Cooldrinagh and Tubbermaclugg.

These details to be provided in a map and associated list, and to include ownership details if possible. These details to be provided by Oct 2009.

REPORT:

It is considered that this motion is neither appropriate, as  the issue of land ownership is not a matter for the Development Plan, nor is it necessary as the Draft County Development Plan has in place a series of objectives to protect and enhance the amenity that is the Liffey Valley.

 Manager’s Recommendation:

It is recommended that this motion is not adopted.
