MOTION NO. 213

MOTION: Councillor D. Keating

Reference - the Liffey Valley - to propose: "It is the policy of the Council to define the area of the Liffey Valley as envisaged by the Liffey Valley Alliance, and to include lands in private ownership as well as lands in public ownership."

REPORT:

The Draft County Development Plan has in place a series of objectives to protect and enhance the amenity that is the Liffey Valley

The Dublin County Council (Lucan Bridge to Palmerstown) Special Amenity Area Order (Confirmation) Order, 1990, S.I. No 59 of 1990  and the lands zoned High Amenity sufficiently defines the area of the Liffey Valley.

It is recommended that this motion is not adopted.
