MOTION NO. 108

MOTION: Councillor C. Jones

That this Council will amend the Draft Development Plan by inserting the words “anticompetitive practice and” after the words “To avoid” contained in 1.4.25.iv.

REPORT:

Policy SN24 (1.4.25.iv) seeks to provide quality to apartment developments and ensure a good visual environment to new developments.  The competition that exists between manufacturers and certain businesses has no direct relationship to the County Development Plan and therefore the proposed motion is not relevant .

MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that this Motion not be adopted.
