MOTION: Councillor D. Keating

Reference - the Liffey Valley - to propose: "It is the policy of the Council to pursue the expansion of the existing Special Amenity Area Order in keeping with the expressed wishes of its members in the Council 2004-2010."

REPORT:

It is considered that the Draft County Development Planhas in place a series of policies and objectives to protect and enhance the amenity that is the Liffey Valley. The Liffey valley enjoys maximum protection under the Planning Acts.

Manager’s Recommendation:

No change to the Draft Development Plan required.
