MOTION NO. 269

MOTION: Councillor R. Dowds

That it is agreed to add the following words to the SLO on the N7/ Tay Lane Junction ( p. 225):

After the words Tay Lane on Line 2   'and to maintain the exit from Tay Lane'.

REPORT:

The relevant Specific Local Objective - N7 (Naas Road)/ Tay Lane Junction Improvement - states:

“To provide for an easy-flow exit from the N7 (Naas Road) at its junction with Tay Lane in the interest of supporting the significant social and economic services that Tay Lane provides to the Newcastle/ Rathcoole and Saggart areas.”

It is considered that the above SLO, which was only recently adopted following the completion of the required statutory consultation and after full consideration by Council Members is adequate.

 MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION:

That the proposed amendment not be adopted.
