MOTION NO. 200

MOTION: Councillor C. Jones

That this Council has as an objective the provision of a facility at a city-viewing scenic point in the Dublin Mountains that will maximise the amenity.

REPORT:

Section 4.3.9.xiii Policy LHA34: Amenity/ Viewing laybys states “it is the policy of the Council to secure or improve amenity/viewing lay-bys in areas of recreational amenity, at the commencement of rights of way and walking routes and where there are views and prospects of special interest.”

It is considered that the above allows for the provision of such a viewing facility. However, if the member’s wish to support the motion there is no essential objection to it being included.

No objection to this motion being adopted.
