MOTION NO. 82

MOTION: Councillor C. Jones

That this Council will amend the Draft Development plan by inserting the words “and that these spaces will be protected from future planning” at the end of the paragraph 1.3.32.iii.

REPORT:

The Draft Development Plan seeks to afford open spaces in new residential developments with a high level of protection. It is considered that such a statement would preclude the consideration of any future planning application regardless of merits of such an application.

Manager’s Recommendation:

It is recommended that this Motion not be adopted.
