MOTION NO. 95

MOTION: Councillor C. Jones

That this Council will amend the Draft Development Plan by deleting the word “maturing” from 1.3.42.i and inserting the words “promote and” immediately before the word “extend” in the same paragraph.

REPORT:

The Draft Development Plan will seek to address the provision of Allotments through the following revised policy;

Policy SCR58: Allotments

It is the policy of the Council to examine the potential to promote and extend the current Allotment Scheme throughout the County to accommodate the increasing demand for allotment space and that horticulture amenities are developed to meet the needs of the County.

 Manager’s Recommendation:

 It is recommended that this Motion be adopted.
