MOTION NO. 180

MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To add a new policy objective after section 3.3.14 as follows: “It is the policy of the council to conduct regular joint reviews of the development of both Clonburris and Adamstown so as to identify opportunities for coordination between both developments and to respond jointly to changing market conditions and if necessary to amend the relevant SDZ planning schemes and Local Area Plan accordingly."

REPORT:

Strategic Development Zone Planning Schemes are adopted by the elected member's and approved by An Bord Pleannala under dedicated sections of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 -2007 and their review is not a Development Plan matter. However both SDZ's will be the subject of assessment and review, as required. Appropriate ammendments will be brought to the elected members and An Bord Pleannala for consideration and approval.

 It is recommended that this Motion not be adopted.
