MOTION NO. 229

MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

That on page 214 – Policy LHA25 the 1^st paragraph be deleted and that the Draft County Development Plan be amended accordingly.

REPORT:

It is considered that the deletion of Policy LHA 25 National Park “It is the policy of the Council to facilitate and assist in the establishment of a National Park in the Dublin/Wicklow Mountains” is acceptable and should be replaced with Section 4.3.9.iv paragraph one. 

Manager’s Recommendation:

It is recommended that the motion be adopted and Policy LHA 25 amended to read as follows

“It is the policy of the Council to assist and cooperate in the protection of the Wicklow Mountains National Park that adjoins the County at Glenasmole and Kippure and extends into the County at Glendoo”
