MOTION NO. 73

MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

Add an additional policy to Section 1.3.22, after 1.3.32.ii, as follows:

"It is the policy of the Council to encourage and facilitate the involvement of local communities/park users in the management of parks and open spaces."

REPORT:

The Draft Development Plan seeks to provide policies on the level of provision and standards for parks and open spaces in the county. It is considered that the issue of the management of parks and open spaces would be more appropriately dealt with at Special Policy Committee level.

Manager’s Recommendation:

 It is recommended that the Motion is not adopted.
