APPOINTMENTS TO STATUTORY AND OTHER BODIES

By virtue of its democratic mandate South Dublin County Council is entitled to make appointments or nominations to a range of joint bodies and other elected bodies.

In accordance with Schedule 10 (4) of the Local Government Act 2001 (Meetings and Proceedings of Local Authorities ) the Council considered the election, appointment or nomination of members (councillor and non-councillor where appropriate) to these bodies at the June 2009 Annual Meeting and resolved to consider further appointments at a later date to the Annual Meeting.

Appointments to these committees and bodies as outlined on the attached schedule is now before the Council for consideration.
