LD 1118 Proposed exchange of lands at Greenhills Road Extension , Tallaght Dublin 24 with Stephen & Thomas Murphy – Variation of terms
_________________________________________________________
The Council at its meeting held on 11th July, 2005 noted the proposal, following registration of its title, to dispose of a strip of land adjacent to the Greenhills Road Extension (now Nurse Miney Road) Tallaght Village to Stephen & Thomas Murphy, the owners of the adjacent site (formerly occupied by Iceland Foods Limited) in exchange for the acquisition from them of a plot of land required for the Greenhills Road Extension and subject to other terms and conditions relating to the replacement of the footbridge and upgrading of approach to bridge etc. Minute No. C/0516/05 and Manager’s Order No. LA/164/2005 refer.
The former Iceland site was subsequently sold by Stephen & Thomas Murphy to another Company, Tamhlacht Developments Ltd, who are in the process of developing the site including the replacement of footbridge etc.
I recommend that the Council proceed with the exchange of lands referred to above subject to a variation in the terms to substitute Tamhlacht Developments Ltd for Stephen and Thomas Murphy .
The terms of the disposal as noted at the meeting of the Council held on 11th July 2005 and as recorded in Manager’s Order LA/164/2005 otherwise to remain unchanged.
The lands to be disposed of form part of lands being acquired from Viscount Securities Ltd in accordance with the South Dublin County Council (Compulsory Purchase Greenhills Road Order) 2000 for roads purposes.
