To ask the Manager to confirm initiatives being taken to deal with the problem of Anti-Social Behaviour in Tallaght West Estates.
REPLY:
The Gardai at Tallaght continue to put various operations into force throughout Tallaght including West Tallaght to curb crime, vandalism and Anti-Social Behaviour.
Community Gardai meet with Neighbourhood Watch groups, residents associations and any other community group or individual to listen to concerns and to discuss how they might be addressed. Gardai also work closely with local authority personnel and other agencies to operate joint approaches where appropriate.
All Garda Resources in Tallaght are tasked with reducing Anti-Social Behaviour and other crime affecting the quality of life of the community.
The community Gardai at Tallaght are represented on the Steering Committee for the CDI Community Safety Initiative in West Tallaght This committee will deliver a programme designed to deliver tangible improvements in community safety in pilot areas of West Tallaght and, in the future, across West Tallaght.
