The Council is examining the potential to extend the current Allotment Scheme throughout the County., however, this can only be done in the context of available resources and budgetary implications.
Not withstanding the above, the Parks & Landscape Services Department is examining areas within parks and Council owned lands where new allotments might be appropriate throughout the County.
In conjunction with this examination a full review of all aspects of the Council's Allotment Scheme including development costs, maintenance and management costs and the letting fee structure is also being undertaken with a view to facilitating the rollout of additional sites.
