MOTION NO. 3

MOTION: Councillor C. Keane

"That this Committee discusses once again – with the aid of a full report -  the clean up I had agreed at last TRAC meeting of the Travellers site at Cherryfield."

REPORT:

The clean up of material dumped in parkland adjacent to the Cherryfield Residential Caravan Park previously committed to has now taken place and is substantially completed.  The remaining area near the pathway requires machinery to move it to a more accessible location and this is currently being arranged. 

The Council's Anti-Graffiti Team are scheduled to paint the exterior wall of this site during the week commencing 4th May.

Additional CCTV monitoring at this location is being investigated by the Traveller Accommodation Unit together with appropriate signage warning potential offenders.  The Traveller Accommodation Unit are also arranging for maintenance works as necessary relating to the leak at the rear of the site.
