Programmes

Community Linkage (2nd level in West Tallaght) – schools still to revert with progress reports. To meet.

Living the Life (older age) – to relaunch with leisure ctrs.

Buntús Start – part 2 training organised for 10 centres

Code of Ethics – Awareness and Children Officer training organised

Strategic Plan – Meeting to review tenders received (5).  One to One Solutions (Sharon Foley) was successful applicant. Cost = €15,000 inc VAT

Meetings – Tallaght Traveller Development Group – re female activity programmes

                   Clondalkin Traveller Dev. Group

                   Dodder Valley Partnership – re Education through Sport, targeting ethnic minorities

                   CPLN – Health Living Co-ordinator, info meeting

                   Rowlagh Womens Group – re female activity programmes for creches

                   South Dublin County Childcare Comm - re Buntús Start support

                   Eve Ltd (Centre for PWD, intellectual), Ballyboden – re activity programmes

                   An Taisce, SDCC – Green Flag (travel) for schools

                   Tymon Bawn – with SDCC, Leinster Rugby re pitches

                   Co. Dublin VEC – to discuss assistance for programmes in their 4 centres

                   SDCC Strategic Planning Committee – report on SDCSP

                   Gardai – Darren Rooney, Community Garda for Jobstown

                   Dublin Mountains P’ship re joint activities in Dublin Mountains e.g. orienteering

                   Grants Committee meeting

Grants:

Commercials Hurling Club, Rathcoole - €380 for foundation level courses for parents

Quarryvale FC (womens) - €400 for admin. Costs

Dublin Bus/ Neilstown FC - €500 for admin costs

Badminton Ireland – €200 for schools programme

Other;

Student Placement for April, May – working on databases and programmes

Organised “Leprecaun” Rugby training with schools/ volunteers

Promoted Fitwalk Programme in Killenarden to local groups, GPs etc.

Monthly Sports awards

Agreed to weekly column in Echo

Plans for May;

Continue work on programmes in place – Buntús, Community Linkage, Living the Life, COE

Work on new initiatives - Traveller Women, Education through Sport, Green Flag

Strategic Plan

Continue PR - Summer Camps brochure, SDCSP newsletter, updating the website.

Organise training for clubs & community groups – Defibrillator, Active Leadership.

Attend seminars – combat poverty, young persons, ISC
