NABCO COMMUNITY FACILITY AT DONOMORE PARK

REPLY:

The Architects acting on behalf of NABCO are in pre-planning application discussions with the Planning Department at present in respect of the site at 108 Donamore Park.  They state in their letter to the Planning Department "the community facility has been seriously vandalised, however, NABCO are very anxious to reinstate the facilities albeit with some redesigns to increase security.

NABCO propose to demolish the existing community building, and redevelop a 2 and 3 bedroom detached house in its place.  A new build community facility is proposed at the back of the site, accessed by a shared walkway with the 3 bed dwelling.  By moving the community facilities to the back of the site increases the security of the building and is a more productive use of the land.  NABCO also propose to build the 2 bedroomed detached house on land adjacent to the NABCO lands.  The area of this proposed dwelling is currently in the public domain; however, this location is proving to be a gathering point for anti-social behaviour.  Two car parking spaces are provided for the units, and each dwelling has its own garden."
