MOTION NO. 2

MOTION: Councillor C. King

"That this Committee calls on the Manager to take additional action to ensure the illegal dumping at the new infill scheme at Kiltalown  is stopped as a matter of urgency to ensure that the environmental health and safety of the community are protected as residents new and old are deeply concerned at the current ongoing situation".

REPORT:

Residents in the new accommodation have been contacted by the Warden on this issue but sufficient evidence to fine or prosecute residents with regard to illegal dumping has not been forthcoming to date. 

The Anti-Litter Warden has been actively monitoring the new infill scheme at Kiltalown and has been liaising with the Housing Department. Efforts to identify and pursue those responsible will continue.
