QUESTION: Councillor M. Murphy

"Could the Manager update on the status of closing the laneway between *Address Supplied which is now the only way for motor bikes to access Bancroft Park?"

REPLY:

The Council at its meetings held on 12^th June 2006 and 10^th July 2006 approved the disposal of the section of laneway between 72 and 73 Castlepark to be divided between the two respective householders. Minute Nos. C/0386/06 and C/0435/06 refers.

The matter is with the Council’s Law Department at present and the legal documentation is awaiting completion by the householders involved.  It is understood from recent correspondence from the householders that they wish to proceed with this transaction. However, a further response is awaited  from them in relation to completing the legal documentation with the Law Department.
