MOTION: Councillor E. Maloney

Chapter 1 - Strategy

That this plan determines that the present level of zoned land for private housing is adequate.

REPORT:

It is recommended that the direction of the development plan will be towards supporting and facilitating a more consolidated and sustainable urban form, focusing on the development of existing zoned and serviced lands. It is, however, encumbent on the planning authority to provide sufficent lands to support the accommodation of the future county population. 

Recommendation

That the motion be adopted subject to the motion being ammended to read 'That this plan determines an adequate level of zoned land for private housing.'
