Chapter 7 - Infrastructure

That the County Development Plan has a specific aim of creating public wifi zones in and around all public buildings in the County.

REPORT:

Appropriate policies on communications including wireless will be included in the Draft County Development Plan.

 Manager’s Recommendation:

It is recommended that the motion be adopted with amendments as follows:

“That the County Development Plan supports the aim of creating public wifi zones in and around all public buildings in the County, as part of a policy to promote the wider availability of appropriate modern information technology in the county.”
