MOTION NO.14

MOTION: Councillor M. Corr

That the County Development Plan includes specific objectives to create the conditions to stimulate/create incentives for economic growth in areas that have been heretofore neglected.

REPORT:

Ensuring that enough land will be available to meet anticipated economic development requirements and that development occurs in a co-ordinated manner is central to the Development Plan. Recent reports to Council, particularly the County Managers report to the April Meeting, sets out Council policy in relation to Enterprise and Employment. 

MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Motion be adopted.
