QUESTION: Councillor E. Walsh

"To ask the Manager to arrange for a clean up of Laneways in Limekiln Green and to issue keys for gates to allow residents access to the enclosed laneways as because keys are missing rubbish and litter is gathering and visa versa?"

REPLY:

Laneways in Limekiln Green were closed by the Housing Department with keys distributed to residents whose properties adjoin the laneways, with responsibility for maintenance and upkeep generally passing to these residents upon closure.  Enquiries have been made with the Estate Management Section of the Housing Department to ascertain whether copies of keys are available and that Department have been requested to liaise with the Member once this is established.
