QUESTION: Councillor S. Crowe

"To ask the manager will he give an updated report on the litter removed and works carried along the River Dodder and at the rear of Cherryfield Traveller accomodation?"

REPLY:

In line with previous committments, some minor clean-up works have been carried out by the caretaking staff at the site.  A susbtantial clean up of the parkland surrounding Cherryfield RCP is imminent following discussions between the Parks, Environmental Services and Housing Departments about  the resources that are available for this work.  once the clean up is complete, the Anti-Graffiti Team will immediately carry out substantial re-painting to the boundary walls of Cherryfield RCP.

Discussions are ongoing between the Environmental Services and Housing Departments regarding the implementation of enhanced monitoring of alleged litter offences to support fines/prosecutions at this location.
