KNOCKLYON TRAFFIC CALMING

At the Terenure/Rathfarnham Area Committee Meeting on the 4th November, 2003 the following area was selected as No. 4 Cell Traffic Calming Programme 1:-

Cell bounded by Delaford Avenue, Firhouse Road and Knocklyon Road.

By letter dated 31st October, 2008 the Knocklyon Community Council have stated that they have not been informed of any requests for traffic calming in the following areas:-

Knockaire, Woodstock, Lansdowne, Cremorne, Westbourne Lodge, Knocklyon Estate, Delaford and Idrone.  They have requested that traffic calming measures be provided for the following roads where there have been ongoing requests from residents:-

Coolamber Park (distributor road to estate),

Orlagh Grove (distributor road to estate),

Templeroan (entrance road to estate),

Woodfield (entrance road),

Templeroan Lodge (from entrance to doctor's surgery).

If the Committee agrees the above five roads will replace the cell bounded by Delaford Avenue, Firhouse Road and Knocklyon Road as the No. 4 Cell for Traffic Calming Programme 1.
