National Tree Week 2009

National Tree Week, which is organised by the Tree Council of Ireland, took place from 1-7 March 2009.  The theme this year was “Our Trees – Our Culture”.   The Mayor, Cllr. Marie Corr launched National Tree Week in South Dublin on Monday, March 2 at Scoil An Croí Ró Naofa, Killinarden, Tallaght.  A programme of tree planting events with schools and community groups in South Dublin was compiled and circulated to the Members in advance of the week.

The Parks Department is hosting the following 22 events county wide
