Pedestrian Crossing on Ballyboden Road
Arising from the last Terenure/Rathfarnham ACM held on 3rd February 09 and from the meeting held with the stakeholders in Colaiste Eanna on 11th December 08, we confirm that we have received the following:
- Formal responses from the Stakeholders that their preferred option for pedestrians is to have an additional signalised crossing on Ballyboden Road adjacent to the laneway near Topaz Filling Station
- Approval for funding from DOEHLG under 2009 Low Cost Safety Improvement Scheme towards the provision of a pedestrian crossing facility.
Having reviewed all of the issues concerning this matter and being cognisant of the Stakeholders preferred option and of the approval of part funding, we herby confirm that we intent to proceed to a detailed survey of the proposed location for the pedestrian crossing with the view to having the crossing operational by mid Summer 2009.
