"To ask the Manager for an update on Traffic Calming measure in Fernhill Estate as raised by me some time ago?"

REPLY:

The No 2 Traffic Calming Scheme in Programme 2 comprises the following areas:- Dangan/Shelton/Fernhill/Hillsbrook and Muckross.

Consultative meetings have recently been held with representatives from the two Residents Associations active in the area. The concerns expressed by both these groups have been taken into consideration in the design of the traffic calming scheme which is presently underway. It is proposed to hold a further meeting shortly with the residents groups to finalise the measures.  The Public Consultation phase will commence in early March 09.
