MOTION: Councillor M. Corr

That the Manager definitively arranges for green bin collections that are currently scheduled to take place in the afternoon/evening in Jobstown and other windswept locations in Tallaght South be immediately rescheduled for collection during morning times

REPORT:

The initial objective in the Green Bin contract changeover was to ensure that all Customers received their collection as per the schedule of routes that had been put in place by the previous contractor.

Now that these routes are running smoothly, the new contractor intends to reviews routes in terms of their efficieny. This matter will be submitted for consideration as part or this review and the Members will be updated  on progress accordingly. It should be noted that changes cannot be made immediately to specific areas as such changes would require changes in other areas. Any changes can only be made following the efficiency review and in a way that will result in route optimisation.
