National Tree Week 2009

REPLY:

National Tree Week, which is organized by the Tree Council of Ireland, takes place from 1-7 March 2009. 

The theme this year is “Our Trees – Our Culture”.  

The Mayor, Cllr. Marie Corr will launch National Tree Week in South Dublin on Monday, March 2 with a tree planting ceremony at Sacred Heart National School, Killinarden, Tallaght.  A programme of activities is currently being compiled which will include tree planting events by the Parks & Landscape Services Department with schools and community groups. 

As soon as the programme is finalised, Members will be circulated with the details of events.
