MOTION NO.7
MOTION: Councillor C. King
"That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for wooden Bollards or similar barrier to be placed on the green space outside 342 Killinarden Estate as a means of preventing the illegal access of vehicles to and from Knockmore Estate, which is currently destroying the small green space and endangering the safety of pedestrians".
REPORT:
The open space between Killinarden Estate and Knockmore Estate adjacent to the N81, has been examined and there is some evidence of damage to the grass surface caused by cars and other vehicles crossing between the two estates. This appears to be as a result of a small gap which has been created in the existing line of boulders situated on the Knockmore side on the open space. Arrangements will be made to close this gap as soon as possible, to prevent this activity. The erection of timber bollards on the Killinarden side of the open space is not considered to be necessary at this time.
