QUESTION: Councillor E. Maloney

"To ask the Housing Dept., when the rear wall at *address supplied  will be replaced, as promised. The present  wall does not provide security for these tenants, especially at night?"

REPLY:

The comprehensive maintenance records in relation to the dwelling in question have been thoroughly examined but there is no record that any committment was given by the Council regarding the restoration of rear boundary wall.

The tenancy agreement governing this dwelling places responsibility for repairs to or replacement of fences and garden boundary walls solely with the tenant and accordingly it is not proposed to carry out any works in this case.
