QUESTION NO. 10

QUESTION: Councillor M. Corr

"To ask the Manager to carry out a survey with all estate management committees in the Tallaght area in order to ascertain any shortcomings in the allocations support service being provided in Tallaght with a view to addressing any problems that might exist and highlighting any programmes that are working well in order to replicate them elsewhere?"

REPLY:

Professional reviews of Estate Management projects in West Tallaght were completed last year.  The projects are funded by the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government and the reviews were positive.

It is not proposed to carry out any further reviews or surveys in this area because funding cannot be obtained for additional Estate Workers and the Council does not wish to raise expectations in such circumstances.

 It should be noted that additional  Rapid funding has been sought for miscellaneous projects in the West Tallaght area.
