QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren

"To ask the Manager to look at the possibility of installing pedestrian traffic lights near the roundabout between the Deerpark and Marfield Estates in order to facilitate residents from the Deerpark Estate to cross to the local shops and if the Manager will make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

The location referred to in the question was the subject of a detailed examination last year and counts were carried out. The results indicated very low volumes and a warrant was not reached. A further inspection of this location will be carried out as soon as the matter can be accommodated in the programme of works and an assessment of whether it would be appropriate to carry out a further count will then be made.
