QUESTION NO. 6
QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart
"To ask the Manager, with reference to Rathfarnham Village, to:
erect a safer, more prominent one-way-street sign to prevent access to the village from the southern end, which is regularly happening; &
complete the cobble effect footpath to include Wolfe Tone Terrace, which was omitted from the first phase?"
REPLY:
The existing one-way-street sign is a standard type. We will erect an additional sign and we will alert Gardai to the stated incidences of regular non compliance with the signage.
Wolfe Tone Terrace was not included in the Village Upgrade scheme completed in 2005 as the paths were in good condition. The area will again be examined and any necessary repairs will be considered for inclusion in 2009, subject to prioritisation & availability of resources.
