MOTION NO. 1.

MOTION: Councillor C. King

"That this Committee calls on the Manager, to refuse permission of planning application reg ref:SD08A/0740 as it is in very close proximity to the residential caravan park on the Belgard Road contrary to section 12.10.1 of the Development plan and with particular reference to 12.10.1.iii, while taking into account that retention is not being sought that the application refers to a replacement structure deeming it a fresh application".

REPORT:

Reg. Ref. SD08A/0740 was received on 24^th October 2008 and proposes as follows:

Erection of a 40 metre high free standing birdcage type communication structure, carrying antennae and communication dishes, with associated ground mounted equipment cabinets to be shared with third party operators, within a 2.4 metre high palisade compound. Works to include the decommissioning of the existing 24 metre high lattice communication structure in ESB Telecoms existing communication compound.

The statutory decision due date on this application is 18^th December 2008
