MOTION NO. 12

MOTION: Councillor C. Brophy

"That the Manager ensure that the yard at the rear of Muckross Avenue, which ceased trading recently, is inspected by the Litter Warden to ensure it has no rubbish, and that the Council takes all necessary actions to ensure the yard does not re-open in breech of its terms of use in the future."

REPORT:

The Environmental Services Department will arrange for the site to be routinely monitored by the Litter Warden for the area. However, there is nothing that the Environmental Services Department can do to prevent owners/individuals from re-opening the site. Should the site be re-opened, however, the Environmental Services Department will take the necessary enforcement action to remedy the situation.
