QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager for a full report on the new arrangements with Ballyroan Community Centre in terms of provision of services?"

REPLY:

A full range of community services will be provided in Ballyroan Community Centre when complete including a continuation of existing services with better facilities.

These services will reflect similar services provided in existing community centres / facilities and will also reflect the particular needs and interests of the Ballyroan community.

The Area Community Officer is currently working on the details of service provision - in conjunction with the local community and when complete will be circulated to all concerned.

In the meantime pending opening of the new centre some existing services will be transferred elsewhere and necessary arrangements are being made.
