QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy
To ask the Manager if he will advise members if any Council projects, or projects in which the Council is involved, to provide sheltered/supported housing for particular groups, including older people, are held up due to delays on the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government in approving projects and/or making finance available?
REPLY:
Currently there are three such projects awaiting approval from the Department of the Environment Heritage & Local Government to provide sheltered/supported housing for particular groups. These include the following:
Whitestown Way Fold Ireland 35 units
College Drive Fold Ireland 23 units
Valhalla Clanmil Housing 10 units
It is anticipated that approval will be recieved from the Department of the Environment Heritage & Local Government early 2009.
