QUESTION: Councillor J. Neville

" To ask the Manager to consider the provision of a footpath between the green area between Meadows East & Meadows West, Belgard Heights, which would be of benefit to the numerous pedestrians using this area?."

REPLY:

The area has been examined and it has been noted that there is evidence of significant pedestrian traffic across the open space at several locations between Meadows East and Meadows West, Belgard Heights. To advance the matter, it is proposed to prepare an estimate of the cost of providing footpaths on the principal routes identified following which it is proposed to consult with local residents to establish a preferred option having regard to the availability of finance.
