Disposal of lands to Electricity Supply Board for the construction of ESB – Substation Stocking Hill, Rathfarnham.

Under South Dublin County Council’s Traveller Accommodation Programme 2005 – 2008 a Traveller Specific Development was approved for construction at Stocking Lane, Rathfarnham, this development is now known as “Stocking Hill”.

To enable electricity supply to this site the E.S.B need to install a Substation on lands in the ownership of the Council at this location, (areas outlined in red on map attached), the E.S.B require that the said land be transferred to their ownership.

It is recommended that the Council dispose of plot of land outlined in red on attached map in accordance with Section 211 of the Planning an Development Act 2000 and subject to the provision of Section 183 of the Local Government Act 2001.

I recommend that the disposal of land outlined in red on the attached maps to the Electricity Supply Board be proceeded with.
